What Happens

Your first lesson, minute by minute

  1. 1

Meet your coach at the pool

Arrive a few minutes early — your coach meets you (and nervous parents) on the deck, walks through what the session will cover, and answers anything you want to ask before anyone gets wet.

  2. 2

    A gentle water-confidence assessment

The first minutes are about comfort, not performance: how the swimmer enters the water, how they feel with their face wet, what they can already do. There's no test to pass — it tells the coach exactly where to start.

  3. 3

Guided practice, matched to the swimmer

The heart of the lesson: floating, kicking, breathing, or stroke work — pitched to the level the assessment found, in a safety-first structure the coach adapts minute by minute.

  4. 4

A debrief and an honest plan

The coach closes with what they observed, what to practise, and a realistic picture of the path ahead — how many sessions to water confidence, or to that first full lap. What you do with it is entirely up to you.

FAQ

Trial lesson questions, answered

Who is the trial lesson for?

Anyone. Children building water confidence, adults learning to swim for the first time, and swimmers who want a professional read on their technique. Your coach adapts the session to the swimmer in front of them.

What should we bring?

Swimwear, a towel, and goggles if you have them. For young children, whatever helps them feel at ease — the coach handles the rest, including any teaching aids.

Do I have to sign up for a package afterwards?

No. The trial is a real lesson, not a sales appointment. If you want to continue, lesson packs are on our pricing page; if not, there is nothing to cancel because you never subscribed to anything.

Can a parent stay and watch?

Yes — we encourage it, especially for a first lesson. Every pool we operate at allows accompanying adults on the deck or in the spectator area.

How do I book?

Pick a pool, choose a time that suits you, and select your coach — the whole booking takes a few minutes online. Prefer to talk to a human first? Message us on WhatsApp and we will set it up with you.

One lesson. Zero pressure.

Pick a pool near you, choose a time, and meet your coach — the water does the convincing.
